Super Straight Hairr, FAST

We don't have all day to straighten our hair, and most of us don't have the budget to get your hair professionally straightened at a salon everydayy. So, here are a few tips on how to DIY at the leisure of your own home (:

1. Brush your hair using a paddle brush while using a straightener. Preferably with boar bristles. The boar bristles will distribute the oil from your scalp to the ends (the driest part of your hair), making it softer, shinier & less prone to breakage. When the brush is near the ends, start straightening your hair near your scalp so the straightener follows the brush.

2. John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3-Day Straight. Spray on damp hair, blow dry, and straighten with a flatiron. The results: straight hair for 3 days! Can you imagine all the time you will save in mornings if you can skip straightening your hair?! You can sleep in for like, an extra 20 minutess (:

3. Straighten bottom layer once. Don't waste all your time on the bottom layer because no one will see it unless you wear it up, which in that case, you probably don't even need to straighten your hair.

4. Invest in a good straightener. Ceramic straighteners work the best because the heat penetrates the hair not only on the outside, but the inside as well, finishing in extra straight hair. My personal favorite is the GHD straightener.

5. Plan ahead. Wash your hair the night before (or the morning of) so when it is time to straighten your hair, it is already dry and you just have to get down to business.

If most of you are like me, I try to stay away from as much styling products as possible. So treat your hair like the best friend that it is and practice safe heat (:
